here it is 6° C, feels more like spring. But last year winter came very late, too (February).

I have an early rhododendron that buds faithfully in early February, a sphere of shell-pink and white. Typically we have a drop to below zero the day before the buds would open to their glorious hue. the plant doesn't mind but the flowers go right away brown
