Somebody has to do that  :db:

Yu used up a few lives in bad weather last year. Sleeps a lot now, corner of choice these days is on a pile of grocery tote bags. They crinkle in a pleasing way as one settles on them

cats and their favourite places …

How old is Yu? They do get quieter and more appreciative of a good sleeping place as they grow older …

Kristi is probably close to the same - i got her for Charles in 2010 and she was about 3 or so then, or so they thought.

Er, she isn't mellowing very much :duck:

Yu spent many summer days hiding in the culvert under  the driveway until the rainy season when thenasty big ground-shaking machinery :snap:  :shovel:   next door finished

Then there were thunderstorms. It was not a nice time for a cat  :duck:

nope. And they do not handle being wet very well, do they ...

may both Yu andKristi live to old age :crossed:

I have been following n Instagram account for some time, a dog who was found more than a year ago abandoned in a field, and grossly, frighteningly overweight. A rescue group took him in and the vets found that he has a thyroid problem. The poor thing couldn't even walk,  he was so heavy and bloated.

This past year he found a family and they were keeping him on his meds and he lost a lot of weight, and under that shell of unmovable lard a sweet dog emerged, with a wonderful smile, finding back to how to be a dog.

He was actually much slimmer than in the second video, eventually.

But in December poor Arbuckle got sick. He spent time at the hospital and then came home, but they found his kidneys are not working, and there were other problems. There is nothing they can do, and he is having panting and trembling fits.

So, at one point today, their vet will be coming and Arby will go on to the next adventure - and I am so sad this sweet boy, who has been through so much, doesn't get a chance at a bit more of  a life.

:sigh:

 Arby at his best:
