Goli Posted April 18, 2007 that's a statement that doesn't need a typo........ What's wrong with pentacles?
Betty Posted April 19, 2007 Too pointy? I wonder why they don't just bring back Davros?
Guest Girl from Mars Posted April 19, 2007 I have no idea what you are talking about. But - we just bought this series called Rome, I heard it's pretty good
judith Posted April 19, 2007 Mars, is that the HBO series about ancient Rome? Let us know how it is. The stills from it look really interesting.
mad Posted April 19, 2007 this may explain the cryptic conversation! Davros re Rome - enjoyed it. (It has Ray Stevenson, which isn't bad in itself.... ) pretty bloody, but great effects.
Goli Posted April 19, 2007 pretty bloody, but great effects. My kind of show
Guest sweetp Posted April 20, 2007 Mr. Sweetp and I really liked this HBO series. We can hardly wait for season 2 to come out on DVD. Spectacular sets, devious villians, comic releif and family tragedy. What more could you want. I read that the sets were so authentic that the actors in the slums of Rome were catching fleas during shooting. sweetp
Mackie Posted April 20, 2007 that sounds quite intriguing
Betty Posted April 20, 2007 I missed Rome when it was on. Looked really good too BBC4 are having an Edwardian season at the mo, which has been fab so far. In one programme people followed an Edwardian diet Even I couldn't eat that much food (wouldn't eat half of it either ) I think the guy put on a stone in 2 days And they're showing The Phoenix & the Carpet by E Nesbitt See? I can talk about things other than Dr Who
Guest Girl from Mars Posted April 20, 2007 I watched Twin Peaks (Season Two on DVD) lately and it actually gave me nightmares. Still as eerie and spooky as back in the Neolithicum when I saw it on TV
Betty Posted April 20, 2007 I loved Twin Peaks Absolutely mental programme, though. Had no idea what was going on half the time. Shame it ended so weirdly, though. Would have loved David Lynch to do a follow up
Guest Girl from Mars Posted April 20, 2007 Altho he is a baddie, I really love the Leland character. All this singing and dancing he does. He is a fab actor.
Mackie Posted April 20, 2007 i think nobody knew what was going on - not even the scriptwriter at least the confusion was immensely stylish and entertaining
