next day i was alive again, and we went on an expedition (we used the buslines :up:)

 

we were at a B&B in Kendal; on our way to the bus i saw this cheekily named dentist office …

then we went on to Levens Hall - due to a misunderstanding we landed not quite at the front door, but managed to get there - the last leg of the march was along this beautiful public footpath right through the wild garlic.

Astrid said "it's like walking though a tub of garlic butter" and it was :lol:

Levens Hall is famous for its topiary garden. it's a bit like English Garden meets cubism …

(they had a problem with box blight, hence some brown in the trees …)
