These are all from last month - Heronswood closes down for the season the lhird week of October or so.  It says a lot for the recent craziness that it took so looooooooooooooooong for moi to even download the pics from the camera :roll: let alone try to, er, edit a little.  This first one shows how BIG some of the fallen leaves are  - moi shoe size is 8 1/2:

As always, a glorious eyeful. And then some :shock:  :wow:  :swoon:  

The textures, tones, shapes and shadows, :mushrooms: too :oh: . I like remembering last month. It was ok, mostly :angel: for 2020 anyway :huh:

And those purplish blue, velvety bean-like tree fruit - does anyone know what it is? I found them in one of our parks, too, they are absolutely extraterrestrial :lol: :wow:

i'm so bad at identifying the plants, it's :blush2:

The purplee thingees ARE way :cool: though, aren't they? Will try to remember to ask what they are next year.  Heronswood is getting a new director next year, and he is planning to get to where the garden is open 5 days a week instead of 3 :jump2:
